About Sheryl: Sheryl Leisure has been painting professionally since the age of 15 and presently specializes in airbrushed Appaloosa and dappled horse colors. She currently produces samples and prototypes for well-known horse model companies including Breyer, The Stone Co., and Hartland Horses.

She also sculpts her own line of horses having produced several limited editions in resin. Sheryl’s models are consistent winners from local model horse competitions up to the National Level. She works from her studio at her ranch in Mariposa California, a short drive from Yosemite National Park.

Sheryl began teaching at BreyerFest over a decade ago and continues to instruct children and adults in her classes there every year. She also taught many horse-lovers during her production of The West Coast Model Horse Collectors Jamboree from 1992-2004. For more information about Sheryl, click HERE.

These classes will be held based on what is convenient for YOU. Simply call or email to schedule a class of your choice. You can stacked up two classes, one on Saturday and one on a Sunday so you can plan to spend the entire weekend honing your skills and learning new ones. Classes are held at Horse-Power Ranch, in Mariposa, California. Classes are held from September through May. Classes will be limited in size to provide individual attention.

The following classes are specifically aimed at model horse enthusiasts specializing in creating horse models for showing and collecting. Topics include:

	Seam Sanding and Prepping
	Sculpting Manes and Tails
	Remaking Models
	Sculpting the neck, head and legs
	Basic Airbrushing –solid colors & shading
	Detail painting eyes, hooves, face & leg markings

	Advanced Airbrushing –Dapples
	Advanced Painting -Appaloosas
	Advanced Painting -Pintos
	Basic Horse Sculpting
	Model Horse Makeover & Repair
	Sculpting in Relief & Resin Casting Basics

No drop-in's please, all visits and lessons by appointment only. Students must be at least 10 years of age for above listed classes. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration/payment is required. NOTE: Students assume responsibility for the safe handling of all materials while in class and are required to sign a liability waiver.
