The West Coast Model Horse Collector's Jamboree

1992-2004

The Annual Convention for Collectors of Model Horses and Lovers of Equine Art and Figurines!

There will not be any more BIG Jamboree Conventions in the future.

This convention was produced every year since 1992. Back then I never would have guessed that the show would grow into the hobby icon it became! The original mission statement stayed true; "The Jamboree is a way to bring new people and active collectors together to learn more and enjoy the hobby, spotlighting the model horse collecting hobby in its entirety and welcoming model horse manufacturers of all types."

That goal has been reached.

The decision to make the 2004 the final Jamboree convention was a hard one. The reason was simple,  the sale of special run models was the primary means of support, and the sales became fewer each year as collectors stopped collecting every model and began to focus on their favorites only. This slowdown in sale made the show unable to support itself any longer.

My hope is that Jamboree was as important to you as it was to me, and that you collectors will continue to work together to create more events on your own, and continue bringing newcomers in and also enjoying each others company.

Above all, be sure to have fun and let's enjoy our love of the horse together for many more years to come!

Thank you everyone for thirteen wonderful years!

Sincerely, Sheryl Leisure
